Frantic Half Pipe by Sportsstuff Model 53-2160
84-inch diameter
The Frantic Half Pipe is a great three rider towable tube. This multi rider inflatable is a must have for any boat tube collection. It is very similar to the Half Pipe Thrash and the Half Pipe Rampage. Side-by-side three-rider action! The brand new Half-Pipe shape gives the tube a more exciting reaction to steep wakes, and also allows the riders to stay on when the ride gets frantic! It's the perfect balance of action and stability with room enough for three. Fully covered with EVA foam body pads for each rider, plenty of handles for multiple riding positions, and bright attractive graphics. Finding extra riders will not be a problem!
This tube was a great choice for our company picnic at the lake. It is in the Half Pipe family, which had all water sports enthusiast raving about how great these tubes were. The Frantic is a three person tube, so we were able to ride several people at a time. It didn't take long for us to realize how much fun this tube really was. This is one of the hottest multi rider tubes on the market and we figured out why. We had a blast on the Frantic. There were about fifty people who came to the picnic, and we had three boats and ten jet skis for the day. We had a ridiculous amount of tubes with us, but most of the adults literally wanted to ride this tube all day. We also had the Half Pipe Scrambler out there, which is one step up from this one making it a four person tube, but this one was ridden the most. I rode this one with Alex and Luke the first time. I know what you are thinking... "What on earth is wrong with that girl?" I had a great plan when I first decided to climb on with them. I planned on riding in the middle with one of them on each side. I thought they would probably be able to keep the other from flipping the tube. It didn't quite work out that way. They teamed up against me and kept TRYING to flip the tube. The whole idea is to stay ON the tube; not with these boys. They were bound and determined to flip me as many times as they could. I finally wised up and just let go. The next time around, I climbed on with Sarah and Liz. I still stayed in the middle, but it worked out better for me this time. We had a great time. Of course, those two girls laugh at everything so we were all laughing the entire time. Laughter is a great medicine, or so I've been told; but it didn't really help our aching muscles at the end of the day. Alex, Luke and Brad rode it together after the girls and I gave up. They rode it for a while as well. I think over all; Sarah, Liz and I actually "rode" the tube longer than they did. They kept flipping each other over or knocking each other off, so we would have to go back and pick them back up. It was a great day at the lake and we all really liked this tube; it is a definite add to our collection (which seems to be growing every time we take a new tube to the lake)!
