Look out, the Airhead Sting Ray's are coming to get you! The Sting Ray's graphics are real head turners. There are 4 models of the Sting Ray for one, two, three and four riders. You will love the lively performance that the winged design delivers. Sting Rays cross the wake effortlessly, yet they are very stable. The oversized backrests make these recumbent towables popular for all ages. As far as a water tube goes, this one is a must have. This inflatable tube really delivers a great ride. Its winged design allows you to pop up out of the water, and if you really want to get playful, you can jump the wakes from side to side. This single rider inflatable is really a great addition to your boat tube collection.
You know how some tubes just look fun? That is how the Sting Ray looked to us, and I'm sure you have figured out, we really can't resist having fun. We took the tube out to the lake with a couple of friends and had a great time on it. I decided to mix things up a little bit, so instead of my usual belly flop, I decided to be more graceful. I dove off the back of the boat and demonstrated what I thought was an excellent swan like dive. My overly supportive friends said I should have just stuck with the belly flop (I believe they were saying that the belly flop looked more graceful). I guess I know better than to try out for a diving team. After my disastrous dive, I climbed on the Sting Ray, leaned back against the back rest and grabbed on to the handles. I gave Liz the sign and the boat started, the rope got taught and the tube and I took off. I went all over the water on this tube. I bounced behind the boat and when the boat turned, the Ray and I took off over the wake. Talk about an awesome ride! The great thing about this tube is it is comfortable. Really, with the back rest and the winged design, you are not as likely to be thrown off the tube. That is not to say it won't happen. Believe me; I "crashed" a couple of times. Of course, I was trying to jump the wakes as the boat was turning (not the best idea if you want to stay ON the tube). This tube was a lot of fun, not just for me but for my friends as well. This is one of Liz's favorite tubes. She literally rode it for thirty minutes, which for any type of tube, that is quite a bit of time. Of course that includes the time it took to go back and pick her up when she fell off, which was only about six times. She was trying to do some tricks as well. The Sting Ray is on our list of recommendations as an overall fun tube. Another great thing about this tube is the Sting Ray also comes in two, three and four person availability. After having this much fun on the single rider, we are definately going to try each of the other tubes!
